Wing is a group of women committed to self growth and to working with other
women on collective growth. We call each otherFeathers. It started as a
joke and then became a term of endearment
The women in Wings take turns "hosting" the Wing meetings, planning and facilitating that night's program. A women may choose to have the group watch a film, hold a ritual of celebration, have a discussion on a selected topic or go for a hot tub.
Each Wing has a notebook entitled, "Wing's Flight." This book gives a variety of suggestions to help a women plan a meeting on "her week." Each Wing decides whether to meet for two or for three hours.
There are no drugs or alcohol at any WICCA function. This also applies to using before the meeting......It is difficult to deal with a women who isn't totally "there."
A Wing can be a wonderful experience or
a drain on one's energy. It dependents on how it is percieved and incorporated
into our lives. We feel that taking time for ourself, saying, "Halt" to
the world, making sure we have time and space for positive interaction,
women to celebrate with us, and constructive feedback are necessary components
of our self growth and spiritual life.
